Our Certificate Programme
Newly developed from June 2026,
our EGC Certificate Programme was created to give
gymnasts, parents and coaches a clear pathway through
gymnastics and a better way to recognise progress
along the way.
Now incorporated into our club app, the programme
begins with the smallest milestones in Preschool and
develops alongside our gymnasts right through to
high-level gymnastics skills.
🌟 Where It All Begins
For our youngest gymnasts, progress starts with the little things.
Preschool is about learning to come into class confidently,
wait for a turn, listen and follow simple instructions,
manage shoes and belongings, participate with the group
and gradually become comfortable and independent within
the gymnastics environment.
These may seem like small milestones, but they form an
important part of a child’s development within gymnastics.
Alongside them, our coaches gradually begin introducing
the movements and gymnastics skills contained within our
first certificate — Little Stars.

⭐ From Little Stars to Future Stars
As children progress through Preschool and Mini Juniors, the gymnastics element of the programme gradually develops. Our gymnasts begin working their way through our four Stars certificates:
Little Stars ✦ Shooting Stars ✦ Superstars ✦ Future Stars
Preschool gymnasts begin by being introduced to the
Little Stars skills, while our Mini Junior classes work
more directly through the four certificates.
Together, these certificates complete the main progression
pathway through our Preschool and Mini Junior
programmes and prepare gymnasts for the next
stage — Foundation.
🤸 Building the Foundations
The next stage is our Foundation Certificate.
Foundation consists of
20 core gymnastics skills
and acts as an important bridge between our early-years
programme and Recreational Gymnastics.
It can represent the exit stage of our Preschool and
Mini Junior pathway and the entry stage for children
beginning their Recreational Gymnastics journey.
From here, the programme becomes increasingly focused
on gymnastics skills, technique, strength, flexibility,
coordination and body control while continuing to
recognise each gymnast’s individual progress.

✨ Continuing the Journey
From Foundation onwards, each certificate builds on the skills learned before it. As gymnasts progress, the skills become increasingly challenging and require greater strength, flexibility, technique, confidence and control.
The Certificate Programme gives every gymnast something
clear to work towards, while recognising that children
will progress at different rates.
It isn’t a race.
The purpose is to recognise development and celebrate
progress at every stage of the journey.
🌟 Where Does Teen Plus Fit?
Teen Plus is designed for our older gymnasts aged
11 years and over who are working at
Improver level or higher.
Teen Plus is not a separate certificate level.
Gymnasts continue working from the same EGC Certificate
Programme at the level appropriate to them.
For our Teen Plus gymnasts, formally completing the
certificates is optional. Some enjoy
having certificates and levels to work towards, while
others prefer simply to continue developing their
gymnastics skills.
