We have compiled the following information as reminders for our returning members and need to know info for new members.

Meet the Ennis GC Team

Our staff do change from term to term but we would like to introduce you to all the staff on our team. Please familiarise yourself with us and don’t even hesitate to call on us if you need anything.

Pick Ups & Drops Offs

Must be swift – a very quick drop and go. Please drop Gymnasts at the first door in reception. As per our child protection policy no adults are allowed in our changing or bathroom area without permission. You may not accompany your child into the changing room area.Gymnasts are to be dropped off no more than 5 mins before class, we cannot be responsible for gymnast dropped early. We understand that family lives are very busy – if you need to drop off early this must be agreed in writing with Management. Please note that this cannot be on a regular basis, we are not in a position to do this. Late pick ups are also not permitted, particularly at the end of the evening. If you will be late please text: 086 2726662. Continuous lateness will result in a late fee fine applied to your child’s account.

Please be advised that we assume all members will be collected by a parent from INSIDE the facility. We have had some parents become aggressive due to this rule but it is for your Childs safety and as the dark evenings approach we must insist that you park your car and physically enter the building to collect your child. We will not be permitting children to leave the premises unaccompanied by an adult unless you complete the EGC Walker Permission Form.

All classes are drop and go with the exception of GymABLE and Parent & Child sessions. We have years of experience in coaching and know that the best response from children of all ages is received when parents do not stay to watch so for this reason we have a drop & go policy, please do not be offended if we ask you to head off, you’ll be surprised how even the shyest child opens up in class with gymnastics equipment around! Parents will have the chance to come and watch their children do their gymnastics in both December and June.

What to Bring to Class

Please ensure your child wears comfortable attire, leggings, T – Shirt or leotards and shorts are ideal. We have an optional kit that you can order from our online Shop.

Merchandise for Christmas

Our online shop has a continuous flow of stock which takes 1-2 weeks. Our annual Christmas package offer which is always a massive sellout is a Special order and can take 6 weeks or more. The final deadline to order the Christmas merchandise that you wish to have for Christmas is 14th OCTOBER. Please complete the order form here.

Communication

Our primary source of communication is by email, texts are only sent in the event of a short notice class cancellation. Our website, Instagram and Facebook page are updated very regularly so ensure to keep an eye on these. If you wish to arrange a meeting with your child’s coach, we can facilitate this with prior arrangement.

Check out our NEW Certificate Programme Videos!

Parents are forever asking what a certain skill their child has achieved looks like. Or their child may have come home a little anxious as they really want to practise a particular skill. Parents can be at a loss as to how to encourage and support their child as they have no idea what the skills even look like. We have launched a page which allows parents to download the skill charts and we have also added video demonstrations of each skill that is required to pass each cert. Check it out HERE!

EGC Christmas Challenge

We also intend to run The EGC Christmas Challenge Competition. It will be open to all members and of all levels of ability. Gymnasts will be learning a routine based on their skill level ie. Beginner, Improver, Intermediate etc  that they will perform. In certain levels there will be a competition in others we will be rewarding their participation. It is aimed to be a way for parents to see their progress and enjoy them perform on their own. We aim for itv to be a positive and fun experience for all. More details will follow

Insurance

Please be advised EGC will have an alternative insurance policy equivalent to what our previous Insurer Gymnastics Ireland offered. There will still be an annual membership fee to the club but the personal accident part of the fee will now be optional. In recent years, parents have brought it to our attention that some children have 24hr school insurance which gymnastics is included. Other parents have their own private health insurance or medical cards, which can result in a double insurance policy. We have argued and raised this on numerous occasions with GI and they always insisted it was compulsory. We now have an agreement with our new insurance company O’Driscoll O’Neill and they have allowed parents to waiver the personal accident part of their membership. If you wish to waiver your cover for personal accident, please complete the attached form BEFORE 2nd OCTOBER , and we will refund you €10 or offset €10 from your fees out of the original €50 annual membership and insurance that you paid on booking. If we do not hear from you before the above date we will assume you are happy to continue with the cover we initially provided. Please complete the  Waiver here.

Please also familiarise yourself with our Waiver,Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Child Welfare and Protection Policies.

IF you have any other queries please don’t hesistate to contact us. Please also see our updated FAQ’s for more general information.

Kind Regards

EGC Management
