Recreational Gymnastics is a great way for anyone to participate in sport in an exciting, fun and safe environment. This truly a sport for all ages and all abilities and has so many incredible benefits for your child’s development: Strength, Flexibility, Coordination, cognitive function, social development, building their confidence and most important making new friends.
Our programme is designed to keep the gymnasts stimulated and challenged through the year with some great events along the way. Our Rec Gym Junior classes cater for all our entry level beginner gymnasts age 6-7yrs. We believe in challenging and rewarding achievement in all our classes at all levels.

Gym Acro Dance (Age 7+yrs)
What is Acro Dance?
Acro Dance is an art form that incorporates the fluid movements of dance with the exciting tricks from acrobatics.
It is “gymnastics for dancers”, where students develop specific strength, flexibility and technique, to learn how to execute acrobatic tricks, to then be used in dance choreography.
The training students receive in their Acro dance classes helps to reinforce the technique in all other dance genres.
Adding Acro Dance is next-level training that will develop a specific skill set, and creates well-rounded and versatile dancers.
Classes are available midweek and weekends but are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

Entry Level : Teen (age 12+yrs)
Our TEEN programme is the perfect way for teenagers to keep up their gymnastics training or to newly get involved in gymnastics to keep fit. This is a great program for teenagers as they start to develop their own personalities and know what they want. The program focuses on fitness and well-being and teaches the gymnasts how to look after their health and fitness through movement and body weight. They choose their goals, they choose the music and they set the agenda with the coach supporting and encouraging them to reach their full potential. This is a class where they get to enjoy their environment with their peers.
It’s important for girls to continue in sport in both their teen and pre-teen years! Being physically active is positively associated with a variety of physical, mental and social health outcomes and research highlights that physically active children are more likely to be active and healthy adults. It has been repeatedly shown, that girls are less physically active than boys and that this worsens with age.
Recently we have had lots of girls coming back to gymnastics at age 11- 17 having taken a few years break from the sport, it’s amazing to see! They are enjoying socialising, having fun and keeping fit through gymnastics skills and strength and flexibility work.
